Dear Brothers and Sisters, members and friends of MAB,

This is an appeal to all of you to provide support and help to MAB’s campaign to fight Islamophobia and expose its manifestation throughout society.

As all of you will realise, Islamophobia and anti-Muslim hatred is one of the greatest challenges faced by not only British Muslims, but for British society as a whole. Whilst MAB along with numerous British organisations and campaigns are working tirelessly to highlight and expose the rhetoric of the Far Right and Fascist groups and its impact on the stability and security of communities up and down the country, much more effort needs to be exerted to highlight this disease within mainstream politics and media, particularly but not exclusively within the Conservative party.

This effort, not only requires that we upgrade our media monitoring effort, but also employ on a part-time basis 3-4 researchers for the next 6 months who will work to identify, analyse and provide commentary on Islamophobia within the media, politics, advertising, sports, employment and many other sectors where Muslims are making a positive presence.

Whilst we prepare the detailed budget for the next 6-12 months of this campaign, I’m reaching out to all of you to dig deep and make a contribution to this effort.
