PRESS RELEASE
Yesterday, Paris witnessed several terrorist attacks, which have been claimed by ISIS.
The Muslim Association of Britain (MAB) condemns in the strongest terms these attacks. They do not fall short of being heinous and atrocious; and are condemned unreservedly.
MAB, reminds that ISIS do not represent Islam or Muslims.
MAB, along with other Muslim organisations has and continues to condemn terrorism. WE believe that the perpetrators of terrorism do not differentiate between those who they target; and they have no respect for human life.
Dr Omer El-Hamdoon said, “Our condolences and thoughts go out to the families of those who have been killed or injured, at this difficult time.”

While I believe most Muslims are appalled by the attacks , there seem to be plenty celebrating in Iraq and Syria. While I’m here I’d like to ask why to the following
1, why do Muslims care if I eat pork, no ones asking them to, I respect your not eating this as part of your faith, but why interfere with non Muslims enjoying it.
2. Why do Muslim cabbies and bus drivers refuse to pick up people with seeing eye dogs?
3. Why do Muslims claim the right to wear publicly your religious garb (which I have no issue with) and turn around and object to Christians wearing a crucix
4. Why do Muslims attend a Catholic university and then complain about there being crucifixes, the symbol of their faith
5, why do Muslims buy property next to a pig farm and hink they have the right to demand the pig farmer get rid of his pigs?
I’d love a reply
I don’t think any Muslims are bothered if you eat Pork or drink Alcohol. That’s your choice.
All Muslim cabbies pick up dogs.
No Muslim has objected to a Christian wearing a cross.
No Muslim has complained about a cross in a Catholic University.
There aren’t any lands being offered next to a pig farm.
We’d love to see your proof for any of the claims you make.
If British Muslims, and Muslims in general, are truly opposed to IS and terrorist acts committed around the world in the name of Islam, then why is it that they never hold any public marches or rallies to present this message? I hear over and over again this excuse that it is not the responsibility of the average Muslim to take on board what these terrorists do and so why should they “apologize” for the actions that don’t involve them. But this is not the point. Millions of people marched in the US and Europe in the aftermath of 9/11, protesting the military response and bombing of Afghanistan; we held banners saying “Not in our name!” to show that we did not agree with the route taken by our governments. How come groups of Muslims anywhere in the world NEVER do this kind of thing? Where are the thousands of marching Muslims carrying banners saying “not in our name”? It is very hard for me to believe the statements put out by organizations like MAB and the ABM, in which they seek to appear as though speaking on behalf of all the British Muslims, when the populace itself does not organize to make this distinction clear. I can only conclude that this is because actually, many, many British Muslims are in sympathy with the goals and methods of the terrorists. Yes, I’m aware that people are going on Twitter to say “not in my name”, but it is one thing to go online and quite another to appear en masse in public. Until I see that, I will remain of the opinion that Islam is incompatible with European life and values and that IS is only its furthest extreme, not an anomaly. Thanks for reading.
You have got it completely wrong. This is unfortunate that someone still thinks like this in modern Britain.
I disagree with the other comments. Muslims are not responsible for what ISIL did in Paris and does in the World. And it isn’t fair to accuse British Muslims of not doing enough.
