Press Release

The MAB 2015 Award Ceremony was held on Saturday the 22nd of August at Chalkhill Community Centre. It started with a beautiful recitation from the Holy Quran. This was followed by two presentations; one about MAB, delivered by the MAB President, Dr Omer El-Hamdoon, and one about MAB CT, delivered by MAB CT’s Executive Manager, Muhammad Saleem Awan.

Afterwards, Khalil Charles presented a motivational talk on knowledge; and how he used his knowledge to convert to Islam and continuously improving himself as a Muslim.

People then enjoyed their refreshments and lunch. Shortly after: there was the commencement of the long-awaited MAB 2015 Award Ceremony!

MAB would have loved to meet all its participants and winners, but unfortunately some could not attend.

The Ramadan E-Quiz was formed to test the aptitude of the British Muslim population, but more importantly, to educate a wider audience and to have fun. The E-Quiz was also about encouraging people to acquire not just general knowledge but also Islamic knowledge, in the fields of Hadith, Seerah and the Holy Quran. This initiative is also part of MAB’s new vision: Muslims At their Best.

We, at the Muslim Association of Britain, hope that everyone who participated benefitted from the Ramadan E-Quiz and had an enjoyable time doing so, especially the ones who attended the MAB 2015 Award Ceremony.

Finally, congratulations to all winners and thank you to everyone who participated. MAB wants to especially give its thanks to its amazing volunteers – they made a great contribution to the Award Ceremony – Jazak’Allah Khayra.
