There are many notable Muslim journalists in the UK. It is a hard profession to get into but some are very well-known such as: Mehdi Hasan is graduate of Oxford University and a journalist with Indian roots; a senior politics editor at the New Statesman and a former news and current affairs editor at Channel [...]
I feel MAB’s greatest achievement since its inception, is the day Allah made Muslim activists come together to form the Muslim Association of Britain (MAB) in order to build a society and create hope. This historical date deserves a huge celebration because it was a great victory, which laid the foundations for other great achievements.
In 2006, MAB – with other organisations – established the Mosques and Imams National Advisory Board (MINAB). It was a move to help mosques and Islamic centres open its doors to the wider public, not just Muslims alone. Since then, with the constant and tireless help of the MAB, mosques have been promoting the accepted understanding of Islam.
Last but not least, I feel that the small efforts that lead to events such as organising conferences, demonstrations, competitions and etc are one of MAB’s great daily achievements. These small efforts are unheralded and go unnoticed. Finally, I would like to personally thank MAB for aspiring to make Muslims best.
